Event Sphere Solutions × BLCKHAT
A dedicated build partnership to take Sphere's platform from V1 through V3.
Review the ProposalOne partner, the entire stack.
Sphere's roadmap touches every layer of the product, frontend, backend, real-time, and payments. One monthly engagement covers all of it, design through full-stack development, across V1, V2, and V3.
Full-Stack Design & Development
Nick Scott designs Sphere's interfaces directly, not just art-directs them. Designs go straight from Nick to the dev team to build, with direct access to him in Slack and on the weekly call, no design queue, no account manager relaying feedback in between.
Next.js 15 (App Router, RSC), React 19, Tailwind v4, and Headless UI. Optimized mobile design and development across the existing component system, with new roles and expanded user capabilities layered on top.
Zustand stores and React Query caching kept stable through the V1 migration, plus the Ably real-time channels that power live updates, extended as new reporting surfaces are added.
Node.js API routes and MongoDB / Mongoose across the existing 61-model, multi-tenant venue-scoped architecture, maintained and extended sprint over sprint against the V1 → V3 roadmap.
JWT / bcrypt / next-auth flows, Stripe Connect and Square payment processing, SendGrid & SMTP email, and Vercel Blob / S3 storage, all owned and maintained as part of the engagement.
Including the Puppeteer → @react-pdf/renderer migration already on the roadmap, cutting generation of proposals and BEOs (Banquet Event Orders) from 360–678 MB down to roughly 10–20 MB per document, plus Inngest / Agenda background job handling.
Ongoing UX and conversion-focused design work across the platform, plus the expanded reporting features scoped for V1, debugged and shipped on a regular sprint cadence.

A proven product. A clear V1.
Sphere already runs as a private event sales platform for hospitality & venues, with a working mobile app, an admin dashboard, and real venues on it. V1 is about polishing what's there, not starting over.
A real platform, already in venues' hands
Sphere isn't a concept, it's a working private event sales platform built for hospitality & venues. The architecture is modern and well-built. What it needs now is polish: mobile optimization, debugging, and the role and reporting expansion that V1 is scoped for.
Our plan We reviewed the full stack front to back, Next.js, MongoDB, the works, and it's well within our wheelhouse. We step in to finish V1, not rebuild it.
Mobile is where V1 gets sharpened
Event sales teams and venue staff work from their phones as much as a desk. A platform that's strong on desktop but rough on mobile loses the moments that matter most, the walkthrough, the on-site follow-up, the quick approval.
Our plan Optimized mobile design and development across the existing app, paired with dedicated Sales, Management, and Finance roles so each team sees exactly what they need, bookings and follow-ups for Sales, oversight and approvals for Management, reconciliation for Finance, from any device.
Visibility scales with the venue list
As more venues and roles get added, the dashboard has to answer more questions at a glance, who's selling what, where bookings are stalling, what's converting. Today's reporting is the floor, not the ceiling.
Our plan Expanded reporting and additional features built on the current dashboard, plus a full debugging pass so the data teams see is data they can trust.
Private events run on relationships. Sphere runs the back office.
Hospitality and venue sales still happen on calls, walkthroughs, and follow-up emails, with the back office tracking it all in spreadsheets and inboxes. Sphere replaces that with one system built for how event sales actually works.
Our plan Get V1 production-ready, then build toward V2's subscription model and V3's AI-powered sales process, so Sphere owns more of that workflow over time, not just the booking.
Built by operators,
not an agency.
We have scaled multiple seven-figure agencies and shipped custom SaaS, full-stack development, and design systems for brands across DTC and tech. Architecture reviews, sprint delivery, and production builds are work we run end to end. The team that sets the roadmap is the team that codes it.

Strategy
We start with the architecture and roadmap that matter for Sphere. No generic playbooks.
Development
We build it, not just advise it. Design, full-stack development, and QA shipped in-house.
Accountability
Direct founder access, no lock-in. Measured on shipped work, renewed by earning it.
Two agencies, one team
Most platforms have to stitch together a growth shop and a build shop and hope they talk to each other. With us, they're the same team. Growth and engineering under one roof, fully aligned, fully accountable.
The growth and engineering engine. Performance marketing, conversion strategy, and custom full-stack development for SaaS platforms, marketplaces, and consumer apps that need to scale. This is the team that owns acquisition and the systems running underneath it.
Visit BLCKHATThe build studio. Custom product design and development that looks like it cost five times what it did, dashboards, mobile interfaces, and full applications, not just storefronts. When the platform needs a faster, better-designed experience, this is the team that ships it.

Everything worth knowing before we start. If something is not here, ask.
Dedicated design and full-stack development capacity across the full V1 → V3 roadmap: mobile optimization, debugging, new roles and reporting for V1, the subscription model and feature expansion for V2, and the AI-powered sales process for V3. Also included: Agile sprint delivery, UX/CRO optimization, direct founder access, and ongoing maintenance. One number, one scope, no à la carte add-ons.
Ongoing. We're not quoting a fixed-price V1 build and walking away, this is a monthly partnership that carries Sphere through V1, into V2, and on to V3 as the roadmap evolves. The agreement defines the scope and rate, not a hard end date.
Working in what's already there. We reviewed your stack front to back, Next.js, MongoDB, the full architecture, and the verdict was modern, well-architected, and fully within our expertise. We step in to finish V1, not start over.
Part of the engagement. Moving generation of proposals and BEOs off Puppeteer onto @react-pdf/renderer, cutting roughly 360–678 MB per document down to 10–20 MB, is scoped as part of the V1 performance pass, not billed separately.
First month is due at kickoff, then billed monthly on the first of every month. We'll send the agreement to sign, send the invoice once it's signed, and create your Slack channel and begin once payment is confirmed.
Yes, a written agreement that locks the scope and deliverables so both sides know exactly what's included. It's billed monthly with no long-term lock-in: the contract defines the work, not a fixed term. We execute, you renew.
Nick and Andrew are your main contacts, available at all hours, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, typically responding within 10 minutes. Day to day runs through Slack, with direct access to our emails and cells, plus a standing weekly Zoom for alignment and accountability. All live progress is tracked in a shared file, no chasing status updates.
You do. The codebase, the database, the infrastructure, and every account we touch stay in Sphere's name. We work inside your environment, so if the partnership ever ends, you keep the platform, the data, and everything we've built. Nothing is held hostage.
Access to your repo, infrastructure (MongoDB, Vercel, third-party services), and product documentation, plus a signed agreement and the first invoice settled. Once that's confirmed, we create a Slack channel (or join yours), send onboarding items, and begin.
Yes. We operate as an extension of your team, not an outside vendor. Where you have internal capacity, we divide the work clearly so there's no overlap and no gaps. Where you don't, we own design and development end to end.
We scale with you. Our design and development team is fully in-house, not subcontracted, and we add dedicated talent on demand as the roadmap demands more, V2's subscription model, V3's AI-powered sales process, without compromising quality or continuity, and without rescoping the engagement.
No, this is our team end to end. We're a full-stack, experienced dev team that's worked together for 8+ years, with specialists across the stack, including AI, so V1 through V3 is built and owned by us. The one exception we flagged on our call: if V3's AI-powered sales process ever needed a level of specialized depth beyond what's already in-house, we'd bring in a single outside AI specialist to work under our direction, not hand the work to another team. Even that's an unlikely worst-case fallback, not the plan, and even then you'd still be working with us, accountable to us, and nothing would be subcontracted out from under the engagement.
Talk to us first. Being in-house doesn't put a ceiling on capacity, most growth in scope gets absorbed within the existing partnership as we add talent behind it. If something genuinely changes the shape of the engagement, we'll scope that conversation directly with you rather than surprise you with it.
